Mike and Michelle found us through a mutual friend, named Mo, who also happened to be a bridesmaid that we met while shooting a wedding in San Diego last March. So thanks for the recommendation Mo, we had so much fun at this wedding. This was easily the most we’ve ever laughed at a wedding and we’re big fans of comedy and laughter so we truly had a blast. The whole wedding party was cracking jokes the whole day at this beautiful scottsdale wedding at Orange Tree Resort.
Mike’s a comedic character and vintage loving Michelle, had a Dia De los Muertos inspired wedding at the beautiful Orange Tree Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dia De Los Muertos is a Spanish celebration which translates to “Day of the Dead”. The significance of this holiday is in remembrance of friends and family who have passed, which we think is such a sweet and beautifully thoughtful way to include those who couldn’t be there. The whole day was filled with laughter, fun, and pure love. All of the bouquets were hand made by Michelle herself from the pages of their favorite book. The boutonnieres were inspired by their love of beer and each one was personalized for each groomsmen’s favorite beer. Mike says someday he may even try brewing his own beer, and we’d like to try that.
The ceremony was unique and fun (with practical vows delivered in and adorable back and forth fashion where they each promised to except each other and all of their flaws and perfections, just as they are) and had many references to movies and books they love, and poetry readings. They even did a chemistry experiment instead of a unity candle, tying a knot, or pouring of sand. They joked around the whole day and had tons of fun.
The reception was an absolute blast and Priscilla cannot help herself from dancing at every reception, you know, sometimes the rhythm is just going to get you. They had a beautiful cake with a creative and fun topper. A skeleton bride and groom surrounded by adorable skeleton animals adorned their cake to represent their many pets, and Michelle wants more, she calls them her kids. We understand, Michelle, our kid is also and fur baby and Priscilla could easily turn into a crazy cat lady if Adam didn’t keep that desire in check
We hope you guys enjoy this sneak peak as much as we have loved reliving your day as we work on these photos.
Heres to a lifetime of happiness and laughter Mike and Michelle!!!
